Takako Takayanagi, a licensed acupuncturist, is a graduate of the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. Takako holds a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition. Takako is Board certified through the NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine) in acupuncture and herbal medicine. Takako is also a Registered Nurse with over 19 years of experience in the medical/ surgical field.
Takako began her private practice of acupuncture in Chicago in 2003. Currently Takako has an independent practice at two locations in Illinois: Wellness Chicago, chiropractic clinic in Chicago, and Global Balance Acupuncture Clinic in Arlington Heights
Takako has been trained by Dr. Richard Teh-Fu Tan, O.M.D., LAc (Doctor of Oriental Medicine, and Licensed Acupunctruist), one of the most successful accupuncturists in the United States. Takako practices Dr. Tan's "Balance Method" which treats the mysterious and stubborn contemporary syndromes as well acute and chronin pain conditions. The balance method is characterized in bringing instantanious results in clinical settings. Takako has successfully treated chronic and acute pain, sports injuries, anxiety and women's hormonal imbalance.
Takako practiced acupuncture at Pulling Down the Moon, holistic fertility center in Arlington Heights, Illinois in 2008. With the experience Takako provides acupuncture treatment for infertility for women who undergo IVF (in-vitro fertilization) or are trying to conceive naturally.
Having experience in both Western Medicine and Chinese Medicine, Takako always believes in the power of integrative medicine which could bring optimal health to a person. Takako’s vast wealth of past experiences and passion to heal people are her keys to having and enjoying success in her practice.
