Shin Matsuo is a licensed acupuncturist. He has a Masters of Science degree in Oriental Medicine through Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago, IL.

Shin is Board certified by NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine).

Originally from Japan, Shin grew up in a community where acupuncture and moxabustion were integrated parts of everyday life. His first opportunity to learn the system of oriental medicine came during the time he was studying martial arts. After learning various styles of martial arts, he formally studied
TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) at Midwest College. He is also an avid researcher of the Chinese and Japanese classics and modern day studies.

This has allowed him to be able to bring acupuncture methods not common in the U.S. to
his practice.

Shin began his acupuncture practice in 2001. Shin practices at our Lincoln Park Wellness Center on Halsted. He also has an independent practice
at Healing Juction in Chicago.
